“Lunar New Year Reunion-Love Connection”

On the afternoon of January 28th, 2021Following the direction of the Vietnamese Official Trade Union on organizing the activities under “Lunar New Year Reunion-Love Connection” program, the Trade Union of Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC) held a meeting to give gifts of the Trade Union to the VIMCC employees facing difficulties on the occasion of Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021 with the desire to encourage the spirit of and share difficulties with the trade union members.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong – Chairman of the VIMCC Trade Union, Mrs. To Thi My Binh – Head of the VIMCC Women’s Board, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh – Secretary of the VIMCC Youth Union and the employees facing difficulties.

VIMCC Trade Union Chairman Nguyen Viet Cuong said that the turnover of the Company in 2020 was more or less affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which caused the life of officials and employees to meet with many difficulties. From that fact, the Executive Board of the Company directed the Trade Union and related units to grasp the situation and give timely support to the officials and employees materially and spiritually. 

However, there were also trade union members with special difficulties, who were in need of much more attention, sharing and support. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the VIMCC Trade Union reviewed the workforce of the whole company and proposed subsidy for employees facing difficulties but still striving to successfully complete the task in order to receive support gifts from the Company’s Trade Union. Those were the officers and employees who encountered misfortunes in their life, they themselves were seriously ill, often sick and had to be treated for a long time costly while their family conditions were financially difficult; or there were employees who were healthy and the main laborers in crowded families, but their close relatives caught dangerous and serious diseases and were under costly treatment; their income were also reduced due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, making them much more difficult. Although the gifts were not of great value, they helped to warm the hearts of the trade union members and employees when the Lunar New Year came.

As a trade union member facing difficulties, Mr. La Quoc Tuan expressed his emotion and heart-felt thanks to the leaders, Party Committee and Trade Union of VIMCC for their sharing. At the same time, he said that it was a timely encouragement to the public servants, officials and employees facing difficulties, creating the confidence of civil servants, officials and employees in the trade union organization.
