POPULARIZATION OF PRIMARY CONTENTS OF LABOR LAW AND TRADE-UNION LAW 2012

On August 19, 2013, Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC) organized the conference on popularization of primary contents of Labour Law and Trade-union Law 2012”.

On August 19, 2013, Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC) organized the conference on popularization of primary contents of Labour Law and Trade-union Law 2012”.

In response to the Plan No. 22/KH-TLD dated August 17th, 2012 by Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with regard to “Propagation and popularization of Labor Law and Trade-union law 2012”; 2013 plan of VIMCC Trade Union on propagation and popularization of laws to trade-unionists and employees of the company, the Standing Committee of VIMCC Trade Union organized the conference on popularization of primary contents of Labor Law and Trade-union Law 2012 to the key staff of Trade Unions of  departments and subsidiaries as well as branches of VIMCC.

The conference  was attended and hosted by Mr. Duong The Lich - former commissioner of Inspection Commission of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Member of the Standing Committee - Chairman of Inspection Commission of Trade Union of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited; Mr. Nguyen Chi Bao - Chairman of VIMCC Trade Union  and chairpersons and vice chairpersons of Trade Union of departments and subsidiaries as well as branches of VIMCC.

At the conference, Mr. Duong The Lich directly popularized the contents such as primary contents of Labor Law, labor contracts, labour disciplines and material responsibilities; settlement of labour disputes and strikes; skills of drafting, negotiating and settling disputes of business contracts; primary issues of social insurance, medical insurance and unemployment insurance systems and basic amendments of the laws and law codes. During the popularization, the lecturer mentioned specific circumstances and practical experiences of applying the provisions of laws that can be applied and implemented in Trade Unions of  departments and subsidiaries by Trade Union staff. The exchange ideas of the attendees around such issues as employee’s policy, wage system, pregnancy and maternity-allowance policy for women employees, retirement system, Trade Union finance, etc were also raised at the conference.

The conference helped the Trade-union officials of the departments understand the new laws and law codes of our country so that they can popularize and execute these laws more precisely and effectively.
