Conference on preliminary summary of employee movements and Trade Union activities in the third quarter of 2020

On the morning of October 7th, 2020, the Trade Union of Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company held a conference on preliminary summary of employee movements and Trade Union activities in the third quarter and first 9 months of 2020 and development of tasks for the fourth quarter of 2020. Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong – Deputy Chairman of the Company’s Trade Union chaired the conference.

In the first 9 months of 2020, the Trade Union coordinated with the professional departments and divisions to promote the emulation movement and encourage employees to make more efforts, overcome difficulties and successfully complete assigned tasks. However, due to the complicated progress of the Covid-19 pandemic spreading around the world, including Vietnam (In Vietnam, the pandemic broke out for the second time in mid-July), it led to serious impacts on labor productivity, decrease in earnings and profits, and increase in costs for the disease prevention work. However, thanks to the directions of the Board of Directors of the Company and political organizations from the Company to the units in taking strong and drastic measures to promote operating activities from the very beginning, the operating activities of the Company achieved positive results.

The speech of Mrs. To Thi My Binh - Member of the Standing Board at the Conference showed that in the first 9 months of 2020, the Trade Union of the Company at all levels actively propagandized and organized practical activities and launched emulation movements and works to welcome the Party Committee Congress of the Company and the Party Committee Congress of Vietnam National Coal-Minerals Industries Holding Corporation Limited, strengthened propaganda on the COVID-19 pandemic, fire and explosion prevention, instructed employees to install the Bluezone application in COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, and took care of Trade Union members and employees by  such practical actions as providing safety masks, hand sanitizer and body temperature meter, executing the preference program for health protection products of Ha Lan Milk Joint Stock Company to the employees, visiting employees with difficult circumstances, organizing domestic vacation trips for employees, presenting gifts for children of employees of the Company Office on the occasion of Children’s Day (June 1st), etc.

In the first 9 months of the year, the Trade Union activities focused on summarizing the Trade Union activities, giving rewards to the individuals with outstanding achievements in 2019, taking care of the life of employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020, building the 2020 work program, holding the 2020 employee delegate conference, propagandizing the Party Congress at all levels orienting towards the 13th Party Congress, organizing activities to celebrate the International Women’s Day (March 8th) in line with the pandemic prevention situation, organizing the  2020 summer vacation tour safely and happily as a motivator for employees, and organizing propaganda on and proposing various solutions to the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong praised the results of Trade Union activities in the first 9 months of the year. He highly appreciated the in-depth activities, good propaganda work, especially the COVID-19 pandemic prevention work, and work of taking care of the material and spiritual life of the Trade Union members and employees. He suggested that in the last 3 months of 2020, the Trade Union would continue to bring into full play its role, further strengthen the work of COVID-19 pandemic prevention, organize emulation movements, multiply the advanced examples, promptly reward and praise collectives and individuals with excellent technical innovations, improvements and solutions, maintain the periodical operation and report regime, carry out the Trade Union’s financial collection and spending in accordance with regulations, and speed up practical and effective emulation movements, contributing to the sustainable development of the Company in general and the Trade Union organization in particular.
