55 years of proud and glorious development

During the 55 years of development (1965 - 2020), Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC) has experienced many difficulties and challenges to become a reliable consulting company in Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited in particular and in the mining industry in general.

Get through hard times

VIMCC was founded in 1965 for meeting the requirements of the planning and design of Vietnamese coal mines on the basis of material facilities, human resources are still extremely primitive. At that time, the mine design research institute under Quang Ninh Coal Corporation (referred to as the Institute of Mining), headquartered in Khe Hum, Quang Ninh province still faced many difficulties, but the collectivity of employees always raised their bravery and experience in mining consulting and investment in Vietnam.

Consulting in constant development

Along with the development of the country, through 55 years of non-stop efforts by the team of officials and employees, the company has continuously expanded and grown continuously with break through development in scale, infrastructure, modern and synchronous equipment and high quality human resources to meet customer needs.

Over a long way, VIMCC has affirmed that no matter what circumstances, the collectivity of employees of the Company united, determined to build the company in accordance with the motto "Professional staff, optimal solutions". Up to now, hundreds of consulting projects have been completed and put into use in mines and mine fields across the country, typical project such as: Consultancy and designing  for Khe Cham, Ha Lam, Cao Son, Deo. Nai, Dong Ri, Mong Duong, Vang Danh coal mines …; other mineral projects such as Nhan Co Bauxite, Cromite ore, Thach Khe iron ore ...; Planning for developing the coal industry of Vietnam by 2020 with a consideration of prospects by 2030; Planning for development the coal industry of Uong Bi, Hon Gai and Cam Pha regions by 2020; Planning on the mining, dumping and drainage of open-cast mines of Hon Gai, Cam Pha regions ...

With unceasing efforts, in 1978 the Company received the Third-Class Labor Medal; in 1985 received the Second-Class Labor Medal; 2010 received the First-Class Labor Medal; in 2014 received the Third-Class Independence Medal awarded by Communist Party and State of Vietnam; 2008 and 2013 received Certificates of Merit awarded by the Prime Minister and many Certificates of Merits awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited. These are the noble rewards, the proud achievements of the company.

In the context of increasing requirements of the mining industry for construction quality, new challenges are posing in design consultancy. With the aim of becoming the leading consulting company in Vietnam, the VIMCC has been implementing many solutions: investing in facilities, innovating technology, techniques, applying advanced management measures to completing work implementation processes; at the same time investing to expand into other production and business fields.

   
Grasping the development trend of Vietnam's coal-mineral industry as well as the sustainable development orientation, the Company paid special attention to staff planning, training of young staff, investment in equipment and specialized mining software.

Looking back on the development path of the Company in the past 55 years with many ups and downs, we more and more respect the past, be grateful to the previous generations, acknowledge the efforts of the current generation and firmly believe in the development of the Company in the future.
