Reporting the Coal Sub-sector Plan under the National Energy Master Plan for the period of 2021-2030 with a vision up to 2050 to Vinacomin

On March 9th, 2021, Vinacomin President and CEO Dang Thanh Hai chaired the meeting on reporting the Coal Sub-sector Plan under the National Energy Master Plan for the period of 2021-2030 with a vision up to 2050 to Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited at the headquarters of Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC).

The meeting was attended by Mr. Pham Van Mat, Mr. Vu Thanh Lam and Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan who are the members of the Vinacomin Board of Members, Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy-Deputy General Director of Vinacomin and representatives of the Department of Sciences, Information Technology and Development Strategies and Department of Natural Resources and Department of Investment of Vinacomin. As for the VIMCC side, Mr. Le Van Duan-Director of the Company, Deputy Directors and related officials attended the meeting.  

At the meeting, the representative of VIMCC, Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong – Deputy Director, presented briefly the contents of the Coal Sub-sector Plan to be integrated into the National Energy Master Plan, like the grounds for making the plan, status of analysis and evaluation, planning scenarios, implementation solutions and implementation organization, difficulties and proposals. 

The ideas delivered at the meeting were consistent with the report on the Coal Sub-sector Plan to be integrated into the National Energy Master Plan in respects of contents, roadmap and implementation steps. At the same time, such ideas made significant contribution to further improving the Plan in a precise, methodical and strict manner according to the procedures, objectives and schedule as required by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.    

After listening to the comments of the officials, President and CEO Dang Thanh Hai expressed his conclusive opinions which emphasized on continuing the interpretation of the report on the Coal Sub-sector Plan and Plan 403; completing the Plan’s appraisal comments; updating and reviewing the Plan’s contents on output, transport, screening, mechanics, seaport, policy, etc.

After 2 hours of urgent and serious work, the participants straightforwardly contributed many valuable and proper opinions to the draft Coal Sub-sector Plan report, making all contents of the meeting program fulfilled successfully.
