Ceremony to sign a contract for executing package No. 10 under work construction investment project for Ta Phoi Copper Processing Plant

On the morning of July 21, 2015, the successful consortium bidder including Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC), Vinacomin Mining Geology Company Limited (VMG) and Vinacomin Environment Company Limited (VITE) and signed a contract with Vinacomin Ta Phoi Copper Joint Stock Company for executing the package No. 10

The signing ceremony participants included representatives of Vinacomin Ta Phoi Copper Joint Stock Company (the owner) who were Board Chairman Tran Quoc Loc, Director Nguyen Manh Chuyen together with members of the bidder selection appraisal specialist team and staff of functional divisions of the company. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the successful consortium bidder including VIMCC Board Chairman Nguyen Trong Hung, VIMCC Director Do Hong Nguyen and related staff, VMG Director Le Nhat Tan and VITE Director Do Xuan Tinh.

The package No. 10 “Working out the construction drawing design and cost estimate, supplying and installing equipment, and commissioning (the processing plant) is under the “critical path” of the project for expanded mining and increase of capacity of the Sin Quyen copper mining-processing area in Lao Cai province, with an aim to increase the copper processing and mining capacity two times against the current capacity in order to supply raw materials for the project for expanding and increasing the capacity of Lao Cai Copper Refinery three times by 2018.  

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Board Chairman Tran Quoc Loc stressed that the package No. 10 was a combined package requiring good technical and construction organization levels as well as high efforts of the contractor. Therefore, the success of the package execution would mount the consortium contractor to a new level in terms of both capability and experience of supplying and installing equipment in the non-ferrous metal mineral mining industry. He hoped the consortium contractor would implement the package with their high efforts and sense of responsibility. The owner would create the most favorable conditions for the consortium contractor to fulfill the work contents of the package meeting the requirements for quality and progress and conforming to the law.

The representative of the consortium contractor, Mr. Do Hong Nguyen, asserted that the consortium contractor would try their best and coordinate with the owner to execute the package meeting the quality and progress requirements well.
