Grateful meeting with retired leaders on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of the coal industry

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of workers of the mine region and coal industry (12 November 1936 ~ 12 November 2016), Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company organized officially a grateful meeting with retired leaders of the company on the morning of 5 November 2016.

The meeting was attended by Board Chairman Nguyen Manh Hung, Director and Party Committee Secretary Do Hong Nguyen, Deputy Director Le Van Duan, Deputy Director Le Viet Phuong, Trade Union Chairman Nguyen Chi Bao and many employees of the company.

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung reviewed the history of establishment and development of the coal industry of Vietnam as well as heroic tradition of mining workers of QuangNinh region over the past 80 years. The QuangNinh mine region was one of the first cradles of the revolutionary struggle movement of the working class of Vietnam. The peak struggle was the general strike of over 30,000 mining workers with the slogan “With discipline and unanimity, we surely gain a victory” on 12 November 1936.

He acknowledged and thanked the former leaders and retired employees of the company for their great contributions. He stressed that the achievements of the company over the past period were thanks to the important and greatcontributions of the employee generations who were involved in the consultancy work.

Mr. Do Hong Nguyen addressed the meeting

On behalf of the Leadership of the company, Mr. Do Hong Nguyen reported some key work contents as well as advantages and difficulties in the development of production and business to the retired leaders. He wished the retired leaders a good health and happiness. He also hoped the retired leaders would continue to contribute to the development of the company in particular and the coal and mineral industry of Vietnam in general.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van The – Former Director thanked the company’s Leadership for that meaningful meeting. He hoped that the traditions of the company would continue to be brought into full play in order to satisfy the requirements of the coal and mineral industry of Vietnam.

At the meeting, the former leaders who worked for the company over different periods reviewed their memories during their working and expressed their pleasure to the achievements of the company over the past period.
