Making on appraisal “Technical Design and total cost estimate of the project for exploiting and processing iron ore at Thach Khe quarry, Ha Tinh”

On August 6, 2015, the Appraisal Council of “Technical Design and total cost estimate of the project for exploiting and processing iron ore at Thach Khe quarry, Ha Tinh” held the second meeting at the office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi.

The meeting was the attended by the representatives of Ministry of Industry and Trade including Mr. Cao Quoc Hung – Deputy Minister and Council Chairman and members of the Appraisal Council. Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (VINACOMIN) was presented by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Vice President of VINACOMIN as well as staff of related departments; the representatives of Thach Khe Iron Ore JSC included Mr. Nguyen Dinh Son – Deputy General Director as well as managers of related departments; the representatives of the consortium contractor included Mr. Le Viet Phuong – Vice Director of Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting JSC (VIMCC), Mr. Dao Cong Vu – Deputy Director of National Institute of Mining-Metallurgy Science and Technology and  Mr. Nguyen Huy My - representative of VIOGEM and  relevant professional staff.

After Mr. Cao Quoc Hung stated the reason, importance and progress of appraising “Technical Design and total cost estimate of the project for exploiting and processing iron ore at Thach Khe quarry, Ha Tinh”, the representatives of the contractor members represented their explanations towards the issues put forward by members of the appraisal team.

After the serious and urgent working process, Vice Minister - Cao Quoc Hung made a conclusion on the basic contents such as: Ore processing and exploiting  technology (the section of quarry drainage alone will be concluded upon receipt of appraisal ideas from the foreign consultant); The of Council members are asked to further study the documents and distribute the ideas for the next meeting to obtain an agreement in order to have the results soon for the Consultant to complete the project, helping to reach the safe production and high economic efficiency.
