VIMCC works with Department of Sciences, Information Technology and Development Strategies of Vinacomin

On the afternoon of March 10, 2015, the Executive Board of Vinacomin Industry Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company (VIMCC) had a working session with the Department of Sciences, Information Technology and Development Strategies of Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) relating to the application of information technology to business and production activities.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Thanh Hoa – Manager of IT Department presented the report on the situation of applying the information technology (IT) to the management, services and production of the company and showing the matters associated with the information technology application policy, human resources, infrastructure and IT services, on-going applications, etc. In the report, the following three main contents of the IT policy showing the viewpoints of the Executive Board were presented:

* Development viewpoints: The information technology is a leading important tool to manage and develop production; a wide application of information technology is a strategic factor; the development of IT human resources is a key factor decisive to the IT growth and application.

* IT development goals: The goal is applying widely the information technology to projects, production management and other services in order to improve the efficiency and labor productivity; the information infrastructure is synchronous and connects the parent company and subsidiaries with large flux and high speed and quality.

* IT development orientation: Applying widely the IT to all jobs (management, services and production), exploiting efficiently the IT and knowledge of all specialties; building and developing a centralized and synchronous information network; developing rapidly the IT infrastructure to meet information exchange needs of the whole company; building the IT infrastructure safely and efficiently; providing training services to improve the IT qualification to specialized staff as well as improve the capability of using IT applications to individuals and units in order to exploit fully the capacity of IT applications to improve working efficiency; defining that the IT is a key factor contributing significantly to execute the yearly business and production plan successfully for  further sustainable development of the company.

After the report of Mr. Tran Thanh Hoa and opinions from participants, Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of VIMCC towards the IT application to the management, services and production. He also stressed the importance of intensifying training  activities in order to provide VIMCC’s employees with more IT knowledge.
